Scooby Doo 2: Monsters Unleashed

I'll start Scoobie Doo Monsters Unleashed soon. It should be the scariest movie I've recapped yet.

I expect lots of sex and gore.

A pteridactyl flies through the openning credits. Spooky.

The pteridactyl disappears down a manhole in front of the Coolstonia History Museum where the gang step out of a stretch Mystery Machine. Cue the celeb cameos!

And the product placements like Burger King.

Each member of the gang has a fan club.

Alicia Silverstone enters as the suspicious reporter who's hot for Freddie.

Even Scoobie has fans. Dog fans. Real dogs who bark and are given wacky subtitles like "Scooby! Sniff my butt!"

Peter Boyle looks on and he's pissed.

All of the costumes the bad guys used in the cartoons are on display. People in evening wear ooh and ah.

Velma spots Seth "Oz" Green across the room and is in love.He falls on his face.

Oz is the curator of the museum. He flirts with Velma in science talk.

She won't date him because she loves mysteries too much.

The pteridactyl breaks out of it's glass case and sqawks and flies and menaces people. The gang snaps into action.

Somehow Shaggy and Scooby get tied to it and drag around. *yawn*

Some evil guy in a strange costume tell Mystery Inc he's destroy them.

He flies off with the pteridactyl and Alicia Silverstone starts reporting on it.

Some costumes are missing.... there's a secret hatch. Alicia Silverstone talks about how inept Mystery Inc was.

They all blame themselves but mostly Shaggy and Scooby.

They all say Shaggy and Scooby were mostly at fault, but in a nice way. The duo vow to be better detectives.

The gang looks through all the bad guys they unmasked before to see if they are doing this.

Product placement alert! Shaggy wants to investigate a Burger King.

They pay a visit to ol' Man Wiggles' mansion. Trap door opens underneath them. *yawn*

Daphne opens their cage with a pore strip. *yawn*

They search the creepy mansion for clues. They find out the original guy behind the pteridactyl ghost was in a secret society. Shaggy sets off a phonograph that plays that rap song about big butts. whatever. I guess it's supposed to pass as humor.

Some scientist wants to make monsters. All formula. *yawn*

The Black Knight Ghost chases them around. Oh good! Freddy uses the "Bring it" line and gets knocked out before saying the ghost "brought it." That's always funny!

Daphne fights the ghost Buffy-style.

Velma figures out that the Black Knight Ghost's weak spot is his groin where she kicks him and he falls to the ground quipping, "Right the round tables."

Shaggy and Scooby get all selfish and want to solve the case by themselves. This developement thwarts the whole formula.

Rabies humor! That's always funny.

Oz shows up at their house and Velma hides and Daphne talks to her and Velma reveals she loves Oz. Awkward Nerd love! Should be.... formula.

Daphne wears a red leather outfit and throws out sexy contrived phrases to entice Oz.

Dammit. I mean Velma. Not Daphne.

Shaggy and Scooby sneak over to a dive bar called the Faux Ghost where all the people who used to dress as monsters hang out and smoke.

Shaggy and Scooby sneak into the Faux Ghost in bad disguises and inside the bar the ex-villains are throwing darts at a picture of Freddie. They hit his crotch because crotch humor is always..... formula.

Peter Boyle is O'l man Wiggles. He hangs out in Faux Ghost and Shaggy tries to get info out of him.

Scooby does a dance number that knocks off his disguise. Formula.

Oz's museum got trashed. I, personally, blame the shumash indians.

All the costumes were stolen. Alicia is their reporting about how inept Mystery Inc was in stopping this. Oz is a broken shell of a man. Damn Shumash.

Alicia disses Daphne. The evil mask guy shows up again so it can't be Alicia.... or is it?

Oz shows up at the Faux Ghost and roughs up some people into finding out where the costumes went. He runs into Shaggy and Scooby and acts suspiscious.

Shag and Scoob follow... is it O'l Man Winters??? Whatever.

Ol' Man Wingtips leads them to the Coolsville Mining Co where a secret chemical makes the costumes come alive. And there's a skeleton chasing them now.

Freddie, Daphne and Velma go to the Mining Co. They catch Ol' Man Whimple pitching to investors about turning the Mining Co into a camp for children.

Shag and Scoob find an evil lab under the Mining Co. They drink chemicals because it's oh so funny!

The gang comes to the conclusion that Oz, not shumash indians, are stolen costume scheme.

Shag and Scoob accidently turn all the costumes into monsters.

The ghosts from the original cartoons chase them around and the super sick geek side of me enjoys this a little. Only a little.

The gand steals the control panel so the monsters have to attack Coolsville to get it back.

The evil masked guy tells the people of Coolsville that if they don't hand over the gang then they will all die. Alicia is sickly cheerful about this on the news.

Damn! The Black Knight was gonna attack Alicia but they cut it off. That would have been cool.

The gang sans Shag and Scoob build an anti Monster device. Shag and Scoob want to be the heroes for once.

The gang is chased by monsters and it's too wacky to recap in detail.

Fred stops to joust with the Black Knight. Let's hope they recycle the groin joke. Maybe Freddie will joust him in the nutsuck.

Daphne is paired off against the 1000 Volt Ghost and she looks like she's trying Tai Chi against him.

Both fail miserably and share a moment of almost sexy love because they think they are gonna die.

Scooby, Shag and Velma sneak up on the skeletons but Scooby farts because it's funny! Get it people!!! Farting is always funny.

When your jokes get into a rut, fart. It will fix everything.

Velma agrees to pair off with the skeletons.

Shag and Scoob get paired off with the Miner 49er.

And it all comes around again! Freddie and Daphne defeat the 1000 Volt Ghost and the Black Knight by hooking up both a cable and frying them. Of course the cable is attached to the Black Knight at his groin because toasting his testicle is terribly funny.

Thank God. Scooby beat the Miner 49er with a fart. I was worried that they'd stop the fart gags.

Velma finds a shrine to the pteridactyl ghost and Oz is there. I hope Oz farts soon. Golly, that would just be swell.

Instead of farting he saves her life.

And a pteridactyl carries Oz away.

Shag and Scoob are heroes again because they ate the Cotten Candy Monster.

All the monsters attack them again. *yawn*

Scooby activates the anti monster device and they disapear.

Coolsville loves them again.

Alicia is behind it all.

They cgi Alicia's face 'cause it's a mask and she's really the guy behind the pteridactyl ghost. *yawn*

Oz and Velma get all romantic. They will date! *yawn*

Reuben Stoddard turns up at the Faux Ghost for a dance number. Maybe he'll fart too just to keep the humor up.

Everyone from the movie is shown dancing to Rueben's singing.

Thank goodness. I heard a vicious rumor Simon Cowl was supposed to show up at the end.

And it's over!!! YAY!!! Oh yay!!! And still better than 28 Days Later and Brotherhood of the Wolf.
